Word?

By the time I get around to watching tv, it's 1 or 2 in the morning and reruns of Martin and then later on The Jamie Foxx Show is on.
I stay watching Jamie Foxx reruns :wow:
I seen a few episodes. The stories are well written for the most part, but the acting seemed forced, and the dialogue in some of em' was kinda cheesy.
yeah the acting is horrible

The episodes are not bad per se, but the show just doesn’t deliver what I expected from the initial premise. Take the “I gave you power episode”. Like wouldn’t a dope scene have been to see the desert eagle ‘laid in a shelf with a grenade and a wrecked-up tech with numbers on his chest that say Five-two-oh-nine-three-eight-five and zero, with a serial defaced’. Just like the lyrics say. Never happened:stopitslime:. Or how about a dope scene where a dude gets stomped goes inside the house, grabs the desert eagle, goes outside, squeezes the gun, only to it jam and he get killed. Just like the lyrics say. Never happened:martin:. It’s stuff like that that turns me off of the show.

I think I wanted a tv show where the episodes were movie versions of the lyrics. Like the song would be the script to the episode. The actual source material that would be referenced throughout the entire episode. Instead they make episodes and the song is background. At times they may use a piece of the source lyrics, but only as minimal dressing. In a nutshell it seems like they make an episode and be like “oh call it that Migos song”. That shyt frustrates me to no end because I really anticipated this show and wanted it to win, but I’m just beyond frustrated with it. I expected too much i guess :manny:

They would have to pay Nas and all of the other artists as writers or producers...lol

Irv ain't trying to pay everyone like that...they absolutely have to get creative.

Imagine the following songs on screen:

Friend or Foe - Jay
Rewind - Nas
Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos - PE
Tears- Wu
Da Game - Lost Boyz
Phone Tap - Firm
Five Minutes To Flush - Firm
Shootouts - Nas
Suspect - Nas
The Set Up - Nas
One Love - Nas
