Anybody who has the FireTV Stick can tell me if I'm boutta make a good investment ?

I already have the blu ray with smart tv for my living room , but it doesn't have wifi so I can't take it anywhere else .

I have a chromecast and its perfect, but I hear the Fire stick/Fire tv are better since they have storage and you can load Kodi and other hacks onto it.

I had one and returned it, it was a tad too buggy for me, and I was using Sling TV and there was some lag (I got a 50mbs connection so excuse). And I hear the Amazon Fire TV is better (costs more too) from what I read via XDA.

I aint had Cable in over a yr, watching Love and Hip Hop on my TV with my girl right now via Chromecast .

IMO Just get a Chromecast, I think they going for like 25-30 bucks now, this is assuming you have a laptop, if not then Fire Stick is way to go since Kodi can be installed directly to it, I found Kodi confusing though so I just keep it simple and use Chromecast to put whats on my PC to my TV.

not a particular thread, I just browsed the general forums for both devices. The Nexus is more powerful too so it would be better for gaming but you cant expand the storage on it, and I believe you can on the Fire TV.

I have the fire tv and it's perfect for me since I don't watch much tv. I installed kodi on it which pretty much gives me access to any movie or show I want unlike netflix and prime. The only downside is a lot of add-ons I tried to watch live tv don't really work that great. The first one I had, the channels kept buffering and then I tried dexter tv but it just keep crashing. I have sling tv for now until I can find an add-on that actually works. but for what it's worth, I'll pick it over cable any day.
