Honestly, you have to ask yourself why you want to join. Because the NAACP is looking like a big ass joke to me lately based on last couple of years of issues they tackled

I honestly haven't thought about the NAACP (much less joining) since I was in the college chapter but I will look into the Houston based chapters. I just hope none
are associated with Quanell X or Shelia Jackson Lee. Quanell X is easy to see why but SJL is an opportunist in the highest order. I encountered her several times
as a congressional staffer for a Tex. Rep. I used to work for. She is brutal.
With that said, I'll try and go check out a meeting and see if it interest me enough to join.
I wish the youth would take over and kick all these old, content b*stards out these leadership positions.

I seen them speak they dead serious, they don't got the funds or the people to help em get nice out here. They lookin for young black people that can help them become a more viable organization.

I just called and left a message for them. The number was an Atlanta number, but it looks like they based outta NYC. You know if they gotta presents out here?
What initiatives are they pushing right now? Their events page could use some better organization.
According to the pamphlet I got they were in Ethiopia last year for a Pan African summit. Their ultimate goal in the upcoming years is to bring about Nkrumah's vision of a United States of Africa and create the link between the diaspora and the continent.
Admittedly though, I can't find everyday shyt that they're doing on the ground. I think that's a part of the reason why they were doin that talk at my job, they're tryna recruit people who can do those community works or get involved in other ways and spread the Pan African/Black Nationalist ideology. They're an organization with great ideas but they need a lot of willing soldiers to become a major force out here. I'll say this, small organizations like this got the room for growth and you could prolly move up quicker if you were dedicated enough to it.

So far the few groups I've attempted to join/reach out to have been a joke. If the 100 black men or WADU don't work out, I'm going back to my original plan of starting my own thing. I'll just grow my classes on my own. I rolled dolo my whole life so working by myself ain't a thang to me.
I have no interest in any black organization whose primary purpose is anything else other than repairing our own communities and building up homogeneous societies. If you're just going to walk around pulling the race card all day, I wont support it
