My doc gave me a script for Prozac but after reading about all the sexual side effects I'm not sure I wanna fill it. What were some of your experiences on SSRI's? are they effective?
Anyone been prescribed an antidepressant?

I am on celexa for GAD, the side effects were hell during the beginning but its my 4th week and I'm starting to see benefits, I no longer have the weird physical pain and heart palpation.
About the sexual side effects, give it two weeks and it shall pass.

it takes about a month to feel the effects. so its basically trial & error. most likely it will make you sleepy as hell & kill your appetite.
it does snap you out of depression & gets rid of ocd type symptoms, but yeah the sexual side effects are real. makes it 3x harder to bust
esp. if you're at a high dose like 80 mg

80mg??? That is insane....I refuse to do anything above 20mg for my heart sake, they no longer prescribe anything over 40mg celexa.
Off topic but Anyone ever been on benzodiazepines? I'm having hard time coming off this sh1t after several months of usage.

prozac has no recreational use so its not addictive. stay away from benzos
