Neptunes

rap: Jay Z, LL Cool J, Jadakiss, Ludachris

r&b: Aaliyah, SWV, Total, Janet Jackson

pop: Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani,



Timbaland

rap: Jay Z, LL Cool J, Jadakiss, Ludachris

r&b: Janet Jackson, Usher, 702

pop: Justin Timberlake, Nelly Fertado, Madonna


I can even bring up Kanye doing songs for Jay Z to Katy Perry or Danja or Will I Am or Dr. Luke

2010's:

Mike Will Made It

DJ Mustard


Mike Will for example:

rap: Future, Kenrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj

But when you get to this decade, there is not 1 popular Hip Hop producer who was spread around hit songs to various top artists from various genres:


Drake, Nicki, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti

Muni Long, SZA, Lizzo,

Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande.

Those Taylor Swift songs are co produced with a bunch of other producers. It ain't just 1 producer like what Neptunes and Timbaland and Kanye was doing. When you look at Britney Spears "Slave 4 U" production credits, it's Neptunes only and no one else.



None of the names posted so far(Cash Cobain, Tay Keith, Sounwave) ring loud as "that producer" like Timbaland, Neptunes and Kanye did in the 2000's.

Souwnave was the main producer on them taylor swift song. Jack Antonoff even asked him to form a group with him.

Unless you have info that says otherwise, Sounwave doesn't get full credit as the producer of those Taylor Swift songs

But to be real, are you tryna say that sounwave is from the 2020s just cause he started producing for Taylor Swift in 2019?

He done produced countless songs, many of them classics, for all of TDE dating back to the late 00s :dahell:
