Anyone else notice that this decade in Hip Hop has yet to produce 1 well known super producer?

how are you going to be a super producer in an era with everyone using the same kick/snare/clap/hi hat/patterns over 2 finger synth sounds. Mainstream radio sounds like one producer for every artist they play. If they didn't use tags, no one could tell their beats apart

Production has been weak this decade. That's why you see all of these rappers rehashing old classic beats. These producers became too worried about an image instead of playing the background and perfecting the craft.

I keep saying that the best production in this era is by these hungry Youtube/soundcloud producers. I can name 10 of them that been doing it for close to a decade with a respectable discography of beats. We are in a different era where in a different timeline someone like a Puff Daddy or a Dr Dre would grab them up and put down with the production team.


I'll use Strum as an example. Dude could have been the lead for the 3rd generation Wu Tang production team
