i don't know about that... andy's shown a tendency to not be married to ONE qb.. while I dont think Smith will lose the starting spot THIS season, but he will eventually lose it imo

andy was the reason the trade happened in the first place, so imo alex will cease to become a starter in an event of:
1) injury
2) truly deplorable play and chiefs offense sucking
both arent that far-fetched tbh, but again, andy is apparently a believe in alex, so he will stick with him as long as he can without repercussions

I don't think he's married to him but he's been pretty vocal since Alex getting here about being a starter & a big believer in his abilities.

what else do you expect him to say? you want to have your players feeling confident, and he's doing that. it's not like he's going to be skepticle about a deal he orchestrated... but smith is no long term answer for any team. otherwise he'd still be w/ the niners
