That everyone is putting out EVERY single song they record?

It seems like rappers would rather just put out song after song, mixtape after mixtape and focus so much on quantity that I feel the quality is just so hard to find in between the mass amounts of music being released.

After listening to (most of) Purple Reign, it really made me come to this realization.

that mixtape sounds mostly of throwaway tracks. Songs that 10-15-20 years ago would have never even seen the light of day.

You've got a point. I think one of the most successful guys out, J. Cole, is one of the only ones to buck this trend. Make what you do drop important.

the fact that it sounds like Future puts about 5 minutes of thought in to each one of his songs doesn't surprise me to hear this.

the fact that you are so butt hurt cause I mentioned Future's name shows how sad and pathetic you really are. Its not healthy to be this attached to rappers bruh.
I really wish you would have met your dad so he could smack some sense in to you . "the rappers don't care about you" bruh.

For the record, I don't mind some future songs. This wasn't a thread to dis future. This thread is more to discuss ALL these rappers that be quick to push shyt out.

It depends

the way i see it is certain people are seeing the quantity over quality thing work for some so they try it out to see what happens, some get lost in the sauce and some stand tall

some people might be looking at like this "if i release these tracks i just might be able to tour off of this free mixtape, young bul over there only sold 1000 first week:patrice:"

I mean lil Wayne released a million tracks of him rapping about nothing for damn near 10 years and it worked for him.

well we can pick and choose 4-5 rappers that it all worked for and say its a good thing. But for the most part I don't think its a great thing.

To me its just making music more and more expendable.

Its very rare nowadays that after I listen to a mixtape(or album) that I actually go back and listen to it again.

We was just talking about this :russ:

But to the OP it sure does seem to me like the artists who prosper the most and have the most loyal fanbases hold on to their shyt. While the others condition their audience to expect something every 3 months...and usually they only fukk with half the songs
