It’s almost 3 months till the consoles are revealed and we still don’t know:

Launch games
Price and preorder date
The UI or OS
What’s Sony’s plans are for PSplus and PSNow
Microsoft hasn’t shown their cheaper Xbox for next gen (what are they waiting for?)
Microsoft still hasn’t shown a single game running on next gen
Sony has shown a tiny bit but not much

And I’m sure there’s a lot more but this shyt is ridiculous :francis:

Instead of generating hype for next gen, they’re doing everything to dampen things.

This is what happens when there is no E3:yeshrug:

Also Sony probably isn't going to budge on a price point until Microsoft does. They usually don't, but this go around it's probably even more important they don't.

As far as launch games we know what we are getting.... It just isn't that great if your concern is an next gen experience out the gate.

The biggest benefits of getting a next gen system this year are playing souped up current gen games:manny:

I don't expect to see anything really next genish to next year

Not like the PS5 won't outsell the XSX regardless so just release the fukkin price. :what:

If they wait too long, the retail stores gonna leak it anyway. This is the internet age, you won't be able to keep this shyt under wraps forever.

Price point is more important than ever this go around

it's not gonna be 600.

500 tops for either. So just announce the 499 and keep it movin.
If MS undercuts Sony on price and releases before Sony it’s going to be an uphill battle for Sony. Anyone that gets an Xbox will have access to all the games that matter on day one for $15. People will also be playing all their old games right out the gate with “better” performance (we’ll see how big a difference that is soon enough).

Picking up a more expensive Sony console along with games being $60-$70 a pop is going to be a hard proposition for a lot of people.

Even if you didn’t care about MS exclusives, Sony doesn’t have any major exclusive dropping any time soon. If the rumors play out the way they sound, it’s going to make the most sense to cop an XBOX on day one and get a PS5 a year later.

Yeah, which is why the lock heart price and specs are key.

If it's a disc less version of the XsX with slightly lower high end specs yet still more powerful than the ps5 and cost less, that's a hard sell even with all the potential games in the future and a perfect entry point for people curious about gamepass and halo

I wouldn’t share the same confidence if things shake out the way I described/the way they’re being rumored.
Sony isn’t Nintendo.
I’m also sure that during a pandemic, with the economic effects it caused that will ripple for years, it’ll make perfect sense for consumers who decide to take the plunge to buy the less expensive more powerful console that comes with 100+ games for an additional $15.
