My current gig (in DC) I got while i was working in NY. When I was hunting I was applying all over the country. Had 2 interviews with companies 1 in Tampa the other in Atl @ offices they had in NY had 1 with a Memphis company on the phone. The DC one I came to DC to interview for.
This time next year I plan on starting the search again and i'm thinking about relocating the fam so i'll be concentrating on positions on the west coast.

Not a random city or state. When searching on job websites, I do narrow down my possibilities. There's no way I'm going to move to a big city. Commuting and high cost of living sucks.

I don't bother with states like Utah or Alaska. People would ask me why I moved there, and the problem with that is I would be asking myself why I moved there and I wouldn't have an answer.
