Anyone ever attend a school that allowed corporal punishment?

When I was a kid I went to a school that allowed this

The principal used to spank all the kids that were cuttin up in class with this 2x4 he called The Board of Education

i went to school in the 90s....our teachers were scared of us...nikkas used flip desk, fight teachers, rob teachers .....we had the police come to school

times have changed for the better tho, the kids now are good compared to our generation , it was rough

When I was in kindergarten I did. For the most part, I avoided getting spanked, but there was this one time . This boy had gotten in trouble and was getting a beating in front of the whole class. The way his body wiggling around had me like . I was trying to muffle my laughter by smothering my face into my nap blanket, but that didn't work . The teacher was like "you think it's funny? Come get yours"!!! Lawd, she sure whooped my ass .

Nah, but when we'd act up in school and get in trouble, my parents would always tell us about the whoopings they got in school back in Trinidad and how we had it easy.

the public school system is corporal punishment within itself..

went to the same type of high school that @DrX mentioned,i often laugh to myself now trying to imagine some ridiculous anti bullying campaign being enacted when i went to school..

had teachers fall asleep at their desks,seen full fledged riots almost break out at summer school,nearly everyone i knew brought some kind of weapon,we used to have mini competitions to see how fast we could run substitutes out of the classroom,etc ad nauseam..

tis a mini miracle that i actually attended&graduated college,and even that turned out to be a trap&one of the worst mistakes i made in my lifetime..the definition of irony

I want to a Christian private school up until 1st grade. You were spanked by the principal with a yard stick ruler. When I was 5 I acted like I was a chef on food channel and poured milk in my rice then tried to feed one of the students. I was hit with the ruler 10 times. I remember we were learning how to read and each student had to come up to the board and read a small paragraph. One boy took forever so I ran up to the board and read the sentence myself. I was sent to the principal again lol
