I will be signing up for one in September to take in Dec. It will be a full ten days of straight meditation 10 hours per day. No cell phones. No television. No internet. No talking. I view Vispassana as a detox of the mind. In popular culture, doing detox for the body is very trendy. Most people do not realize that our minds need a detox as well. We live in a society that provides so much distraction that we have lost touch with ourselves. We've become so accustomed with constant distraction that we can barely fathom the idea of sitting alone by ourselves with only our thoughts for an hour.
I'm hoping by taking this course I will be become more aware of negative thoughts and emotions as they arise.

Interesting...that first video is dope...it sounds like therapeutic a way to do the necessary soul work and change perceptions...i would try it but i cant be incognito for 10 days..i got too many people counting on me ...
