Anyone ever flew with an expired Driver's License?

You'll be OK. Bring your expired license. Just make sure to take your SS Card and Birth Certificate and another up-to-date picture ID if you have one.

I did some reading and some people are saying to show up mad early to talk to the people at the airport but I wouldn't put money on that all. I'd rather go to the DMV to get a temporary renewal than miss a flight

It's not a big deal.

The guy at security will look at you funny, but considering it's only recently expired, they won't hassel you too much.

Yeah. That, too. You should prepare to show up early. The verification process may be slow, which can be a pain in the ass if you're cutting it close for your flight departure.

I got the passport before I even went. I called and they told me I couldn't.
