I'm talking... you don't know anyone there. Maybe you have a job prospect, or something locked in, maybe not. But you just want to hit the restart button life, even if it's a temporary thing.

It's something I've been considering brehs :ld:

Lived in this city my whole life, and though I have travelled a lot (Cuba, DR, Italy, all over the U.S. and Canada), I feel like I am robbing myself of new experiences by staying put here. It's a fine place to live, if I had a family it'd be cool to raise 'em here I guess. And I have my friends and fam here, which is cool, but, it's gettin kinda stagnant...

Any horror stories? You got there and shyt was worse? Or maybe it changed your life in a positive way?

Yep I left NYC for Boston in 95. Best decision I ever made. I did stay with a family friend though in the beginning.

IMO, if you feel like year after year you are doing the same ish.Same plans, same dreams, same complaints, same streess you miught need a to change your environment.

The world is pretty big so that fresh start could also by 30/45 min for where you are now. New job,new home, new friend will do wonders. :ohhh:

I did that in 2010. Gotta job offer in ATL, packed up and moved. Didn't know a single person and only been to ATL once for a weekend to visit prior. On the real, I ain't even have time to get a place to live before I left. I ended up living in a hotel for bout a week or so.

2 years later I got more friends than I can count, gotta GF, and Obama still president. Looks like I made the right decision :obama:

I try to live my life with no fears. I'm a grown ass man, fukk I look like being scared of being by myself. Truth be told one of these days I'll pack up just leave the country :manny:

I'm considering this a year and a half from now... Where to, I don't know. Knowing people in whichever city helps too, just not in my case cuz I know people in almost every other state. :russ:

I need to travel first.

I need to get out of Boston once I finish this degree. I'm thinking either Jersey (so I can be close to NY without having to live there), or Maryland.

Yes, multiple times. But I had a job offer before I moved in each case. It's kind of foolhardy to move to a new place with no job. I did have to go through the expense of driving to theie office and paying for hotel for the interview process.
