Anyone ever notice tv commercials being loud?

I know i couldnt have been the only one who hated how you'd be watching a tv show then BAM, loud ass Burger king commercial or Verizon commercial comes on leaving u like

Yeah its done on purpose the sound is compressed and maximized so it is real loud compared to the shows u watch. shyt is annoying esp late night

I don't know if this is true or not I just heard it somewhere but a commercial can only be as loud as the loudest peak on the tv show, so some advertisements just boost the sound to make sure you hear it

And does movies dialogue be mad low, but curse words, gunshots, explosions, and music be

I dont know if you guys saw the link but starting today, commervials are now the same volume as your tv
