Yes, citizen's arrest does exist. But, you will want to look up your state and local laws to see what is and is not allowed.dont think there is any such thing, you can hold a guy until cops get there, thats about it.

I've seen loss prevention people at the mall do it. I don't think the shoplifters legally had to stand there but they must have just been tooto try and run away
Yeah, I never understand why people don't just leave when they're caught by loss prevention. Are they even legally allowed to detain you if you tell them you want to go?
