Anyone Ever Take off due not wanting to drive in the snow

I drove in the snow to experience working a store in a snowstorm and to get a pizza which was company policy. Did not get the pizza, they waited for me to be off for that. Half of the shift never entered the building. And there was some talk about taking a chick home I didn't want twice like that was my problem. I didnt work there long.
Now that I take the bus again, my policy is if snow its the ground, stay home. But I caNt afford to miss days, I'll figure something out

fukked up part is i can easily work from home, but some of my co-workers fukked it up for all of us last year by being unproductive and basically doing nothing when they worked from home last winter so now we're expected to show up unless it's some kinda road closing level event.

Yea, I have been in situations where I was stuck in my car for more than 3 or 4 hours because the roads were jammed up.
The driveway into my apartment complex is too steep to be messing around with if it snows. If I manage to get out, damn sure won't be able to get back in.
Well I can work from home so I don't really get the option to take off for snow lol but I did at some of my old jobs since it was literally dangerous to drive in. I lived in the south so we don't have the infrastructure you guys up north have to handle it. 3 inches of snow shuts down a city here.
Only when it involved a 8 hour drive. Stayed with my girl an extra night in New York rather than drive back.
