A few months ago, I opened up a harrasment case against one of my co-workers.
I thought it was a clear and shut case, walmart has a list of behaviors thats defined as harrasment,
and this co-worker fit the description of two of them, and it was captured on camera.
However, the case recently got closed, because my allegations couldn't be substantiated.
I was told this by my manager and the Market Human Resource manager.
I asked for clarification, and they said they couldn't share any more information for whatever reason.
I dont necessarily mind the fact that the case was dismissed, but I want to be able to delve into this situation
deeper because I believe there's a possibilty that it wasn't conducted fairly.
My manager(a white hispanic women, dyed blond hair and all) seems very suspect to me.
When I presented my situation to her, she was very dismissive towards my points, didn't seem to acknowledge the validity of my experience, and she was clearly defending the co-worker. She seemed very bias towards him.
Even though I reported this issue to Ethics, I'm not too sure whether they conducted an independent investigation.
My whole case revolved around my video evidence, but I'm under the impression that they themselves, didn't look at the video evidence, but instead had to rely on that store manager's interpretation of that video.
If my suspicions are correct, then I believe that, that's the dagger that destroyed my case, cause I wouldnt' be surprised if she reported back some bullshyt to them.
And also, as the investigation started to progress, she sort of developed this hostile attitude towards me. I was starting to get a bad vibe from her.
Anyways, what yall think?
I dont necessarily mind the fact that my case got dismissed,
I just want to be sure that everything was investigated properly in a independent manner.
