Anyone Feeling Lonely?

Maybe I'm being self-absorbed and egotistical but, I don't feel like people get me.

Now I would talk to my girl about my emotions but she just nods says something and then we move on.

Tell my friends about my mental state and they are confused like I told them to solve a riddle.

I feel the same way, keep your head up. Nobody understands loners so people keep their distance.

I am lonely but I have to stop being a proactive perfectionist (applying perfectionism before working) and be a lot more productive with my time. Going on 25 new friends aren't a concern since at this age they're around for utility. Sex and validation will have to wait.

Writing is my creative outlet, one thing I couldn't do without.

In terms of music I feel like Björk does something to my soul that others can't.

Loneliness doesn't care for companionship.

I could be happy as grass with a breeze of wind and warm sunlight but, there she is, loneliness revving up to trim me down.

Yeah creative outlets are great therapy. It's a good way for a loner or intovert to speak to the world.

I like talking to women that stimulate my mind and body to avoid that disconnect.

Honestly, just go to a music store and play around on some of the equipment to get a feel for what speaks to you. I spent about 4 hours in a Daddy's Junky Music (now closed) in Stamford CT in 1999. I like the MP because I like the physical pads. The best bet is a keyboard tho, because you got MIDI, and you could still use keys for percussion and make some decent beats. I rock with a Roland Juno- G.
