Statik is good, but I dunno, it feels like he's run out of those early samples that made you nod your head uncontrollably.

His skill level hasn't dropped I just think he needs to dig some more for heat a la Jake One or Alchemist.

I liked his album with Action Bronson, and the 1st 1982 album with Termanology was really good.

I used to be real into his projects. I think he's good at what he does. He's good with pretty simple loops or chops, and his hustle is very respectable. he puts in a tremendous amount of work. That said, sometimes I think a lot of his stuff starts to run together and sound the same after a while.

Maybe that was after 2011, when in one year he dropped his own project (Population Control), and collab projects with Freeway, Bumpy Knucks, Gibbs, Slaine, and Bronson. By the end of 2011 I felt a little burned out on his sound.
