like I mentioned both classes were offered free thru my last job. I believe the green belt class would have been over $3000 if paid out of pocket.

I'm seeing the classes offered for $299.00 online :yeshrug:

I might just go ahead and do it... get my cert game right while I'm sitting at home looking for a job... anywhere in the country... :francis:

I have a green belt but only certified by a former employer. They wanted to take me all the way to black belt but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
It helped me get into my current job. I would say it's worth it and def looks good on a resume.

I'm going to either get another certification through a university so it'll look more official, but regardless I need to get my black belt asap.

I ended up getting the green belt as well last year and haven't used that shyt since. :laff:

But I certainly put it on my resume and LinkedIn :ahh:

Yellow belt not going to do anything for you. You need to certify as a green at the minimum and shoot for a black belt.

You should go through ASQ for this.

Personally I've gone the route of certifying as a lean consultant through my job instead (German auto manufacturer). I am on Q2 of a 4-6 quarter program.

Haven't had the time to get past yellow, not sure about the ROI

Most large manufacturing companies will eat the cost.

For instance my company will sponsor you through black belt. Becoming a master black belt is on your own dime and is extremely difficult. My location of 1200 employees has roughly 2 master black belts, 1 black belt, and 6 or so green belts.
