. Greatest of All timeNot talking about the god, but a PC made for storageI got a. Greatest of All time
What are you trying to do? I bought a 16tb western digital my book Duo a few years back. I run it in raid-0. Not nas but since I keep my desktop on all the time, it's accessible anywhere.
I have a QNAP and have used Synology software on a virtual machine.
I like it quite a bit. They both have a lot of value-added features besides simple storage.
They also have companion applications. If trying to choose between the two, check out the companion apps and see which has a better rating
I built a 16TB server ..
i have a Netgear Ready NAS with 8TB also have a Buffalo 1TB NAS
Hmm maybe that's why it stopped it was over wired at first@Alvin
if you can do the data transfer over wired. thats to much for wireless
Use a wired computer to transfer it, or use the command line on the Synology and pull the dataHmm maybe that's why it stopped it was over wired at first
is simply copying the data over after connecting to both servers on finder viable or should I use the synology apps or command line? Also why is it when I restart my synology server I can't connect to it via finder unless I restart my PC?Use a wired computer to transfer it, or use the command line on the Synology and pull the data
If you go the latter route, you’ll need to research the commands to mount the remote (seagate) drive to an internal directory (on the Synology)
Then issue the “cp -R /path/to/directory” to copy the folder and subfolders
Its viable IF you are connected via ethernet and make sure that the laptop doesnt go to sleep.is simply copying the data over after connecting to both servers on finder viable or should I use the synology apps or command line?
