One of my homeboys did going thru a divorce with his wife. nikka had to help pay the mortgage and spend 60 a night on the motel smh. We would come over and smoke it out. One of my other homeboys who is married would bring random hoes over to fukk.

My nikka used up all his savings just to live in that motel for a couple months :mjcry:

Than they ended up getting back together :mjlol:

I did, for about 2 months. One of my best friends and I were getting an apartment but it wasn't going to be ready for about 2 months.

Didn't have anywhere to stay "right then" at the moment until we got a few more checks from the job we both worked at. So we decided to just wait it out on the apartment we really wanted.(not like we had much choice lol)

Of course we still needed somewhere to actually "live" for the time being, so we decided to go half on what ended up being 3 different 2-bedroom Extended Stay style hotels/suites.

We used our corporate discounts from our jobs (lied and told them we were in town for business, etc), and lived like kings for that whole 2 months. :banderas:

Those Extended Stay joints can be a little expensive when you're dolo, but splitting the cost made everything cheap.

All we did the whole month was work, stack, eat good, club, and bring various chicks in and out like it was a damn whorehouse from said clubs :banderas:

It was a glorious 2 months :wow:

There was an ironic and strong sense of freedom that I'll never forget. Can't really describe it. I've heard homeless people talk about it before though. :pachaha:
dam breh, i could relate to this :wow:

:salute:

Lie about working as a corporate vendor for like AT&T or someone, and that you're in town for however long you need the room for.
Could net you a decent disount.. well, it might not work to be honest :pachaha: but it did for us.

We worked for a major cable company in the area and went into the lobby dressed all spiffy (we both have dreads too :lolbron:) and just acted the part. Acted entitled, rushed, and all that cac shyt.

Only netted us like 15% off the total stay price but :manny:

But again, that may not get you anything, mainly because they may ask for credentials. They would never ask us though because our spiel was too tight.. we "knew the script".. combined with the fact that we actually did work for the company we said (just not at the levels we said :mjpls:) We used to just breeze through. We were ready to produce them if asked, but they never asked :manny:

If you're skeptical about trying that, use your AAA roadside assistance membership if you have one. Damn near every hotel in America offers a %10 discount to AAA members, from 1-star hotels up to 5's. Good luck.

Has anyone ever lived in a hotel/motel before for any extended amount of time?

I'm talking like anywhere inbetween a month into a year or more?
Yes. I worked construction so we weren't allowed to get an apartment because we had to remain mobile. I got an apartment once before i knew about the rule, but the company was cool enough to cover the early exit fee. :whew: I had two more months to go. Anyway, from there on out, I lived in a motel. I think it lived in a couple different motels in western Pennsylvania for about 8 months straight. It wasn't that bad. No fancy hotels.
I got free HBO and TV. I worked out at nearby gyms. I went to laundromats to clean my clothes. Everything I had could be moved out of the motel room in under 15 minutes. Sometimes, I would get bored of a motel and move to another one. I did get a weekly discount. There was a mini-fridge, No microwave oven. I ate sandwiches, Pop Tarts, cereal and fruit.

I wouldn't want to live that lifestyle again.
