Had some Magnolia experts come through the crib yesterday to assess some things...

Magnolia Home Theater - Best Buy

Basically I want two TV's in my mancave side by side (one for gaming and one for cable/TV), seamless audio and video integration between both TV's, full control via smartphone or smart remote, another 65" in my living room located directly above mancave, clean cut look throughout, minimal wires (run through the walls), etc etc etc

nikkas quoted me $10k to start :whew::sadcam:. The labor alone is $100/hr each for two nikkas :damn:

For those who have had their entertainment centers professionally installed, how much did y'all spend on the entire system? Considering just doing this shyt myself but I simply don't have time to. But I ain't spending $10k on my entire system either :usure: I could put that money towards another down payment on a crib for Christ's sake :martin:

10k :why:

Hung my TVs on the wall and ran the wires through the wall my damn self. I considered getting a professional because I wanted to move my electrical outlet directly behind my TV so you don't see any wires at all.

And even that you could do yourself.
Its not difficult, ESPECIALLY if you're just moving the receptacle up on the same beam.
You're just gonna have to deal with the mess of breaking the wall a bit and patching and repainting.
Personally I would move it though, I would have a new one installed above it that run off of the original one.

The $10k quote included equipment such as two 4K Ultra TV's (65" & 55"), and audio, proper cables for both systems. There were other key pieces of equipment required to make the system and integration seamless.

The $10k quote isn't just labor...

So what you should find out is if you have the equipment yourself will they install it and only charge labor...

In dallas their are plenty of places that do this...you can have them tell you what the best of the best is and they buy it for you and the shyt can get up to 20 and 30k...or you buy it and they charge you for labor...I seen as low as 75 to as high as 225 ph...

Also...that link leads to best buy...breh...don't ever let best buy do shyt for you...they going to charge you a "i'm dumb enough to shop at best buy" premium on everything...

Unless you running wires through walls their is no reason you couldn't do it yourself...and even if you running wires through walls depending on your house you can do it yourself...

I built my office myself and plan on doing my entertainment center myself, although I don't plan on putting as much into it as you are. 10K sounds kinda steep. I had someone build my dresser for 60 (50 plus 10 dollar tip), since I didn't want to pay the 200+ for a tool set and do it myself. I agree with someone else that you can have a craiglist guy do it for low prices.
