You're taking it back to the late 90s / early 2000s. I don't listen to it now but this post reminded me of this Weeknd song that blends DnB in the beat.

Not anymore, but this one of my favorite DNB mixes from back in the day. I preferred Jungle when I was into that sound. DNB took the the soul out of Jungle and whitened it up for mainstream consumption.
