Anyone noticed how there are no African language options in most devices?

this is something I just noticed. It has sort been at the back of my mind but I never gave it much thought till now. Every device from computers to iPhones have language options with practically all languages from pretty much every corner of the globe yet not a single african language makes it. Even White South Africans get the Afrikaans language option yet somehow the Zulus and other black South Africans don't? Swahili is one the most popular languages in the world and even that doesn't make it.:shaq2:

How true is this wikipedia page, click on "Language in Africa" and refer to the Africa graphic with color schemes & legend
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Africa#Official_languages
The legend; official languages in Africa
Afrikaans
Portuguese
Arabic
Spanish
English
Swahili
French
*other languages

Not making excuses for them but there are over a 2000 languages on the continent. Its complex :manny:

Not as blatantly offensive as the iPhone having emojis of whites, Asians, Indians, etc. and no Blacks.. but they do have 3 monkeys :ohhh:

A lot Africans speak a tribal/ethnic language and some colonial language. A lot rural South America is the same thing, you got the original language of the natives and then Spanish and/or Portugese

i mean there isn't really a market for that yet

and when there is the only languages likely to be added are Swahili and Amharic since most Africans speak either Portuguese, French or English as well
