So what. Cacs also had a history of being colonised. The Romans pretty much ran shyt in Europe for millennia. I don't see English people looking up to Italians and putting them as their standards of beauty, actually most Western Europeans look down on Italians as the nikkas of Europe despite the fact that they were the ones who brought civilisation to Europe.

The Roman influence is still felt in western culture till this day. Roman law, city planning, literature so on and so forth. We could go on and on about the influence ancient Rome has had on modern society, not to mention the spread of Christianity. Also Romans are white too, the have a little darker skin but they are still white folks.

Yeah in retrospect, but if you were a Germanic serf who met these shorter darker curly hair Roman conquerors, and you've never seen an other races besides Germanic people, you'd think they were a different race. Even before genetic analysis, most white people didn't consider Italians as being part of the white race.
