Player for like an hour last night. It’s dope. The control in Geometry Wars feels a bit better, but the progression and boss fights in this are cool.

I wasn't ever a fan of Geometry Wars and honestly thought that game looked kinda bland and too old school tbh (I'm not a nostalgia whore and only like some retro games when they actually do more with the art styles and/or gameplay; so I was rather perturbed at the mention here honestly). So when I first saw this thread and the comparison to that, I filed it under auto-disinterest off that alone and didn't even bother looking at anything further than that text.
Having now actually watching that vid, it looks much more compelling than that game. I'll wishlist it and buy it when it goes on sale sometime down the road.
