Game is trash. I never played but seen the whole game on youtube. It's not a game it's a visual novel. Absolute garbage and I for the life of me can't understand the appeal. How is this considered a smash hit?

It's a pretty good game.Yes you need to read to enjoy it,sorry.

I guess it appeals to older gamers or gamers who are fans of the old rpg game style.

I didn't play much. everyone got gassed cause you can go through the game not killing anyone. but ultimately it's not mechanically different from any other turn based game

Yeah that part puzzled me. The game is supposed to be so in-depth about your choices when in reality you have to select the "good" ending to even have an ending. The genocide ending is basically "YOU CHOSE WRONG PATH! GAME PUNISH YOU WITH BLACK SCREEN!".

The kickstarter was originally for 5k and it looks it. The guy clearly made a troll videogame visual novel masquerading as an RPG. It's one of the those, "so bad it's entertaining" type of things.

It's a pretty good game.Yes you need to read to enjoy it,sorry.

I saw the entire game in action, text and all. It's trash, it has no redeemable qualities whatsoever.

I guess it appeals to older gamers or gamers who are fans of the old rpg game style.

Trails of the Sky is old school and that game is actually good.

Because it's a really smart game that plays with conventional design. You can't get the same feeling watching it and as opposed to actually playing. It's like Planescape Torment. And what's wrong with you bums and reading? It's nikkas like you that had Fallout go from amazing conversations to crappy dialogue wheels in FO4.

It's also a great game at making you feel bad for committing violence and makes you think about how violence is the "go-to" option in these games. It leverages its game mechanics to put you in certain head spaces.

And what's wrong with you bums and reading? It's nikkas like you that had Fallout go from amazing conversations to crappy dialogue wheels in FO4.

I love great stories and dialogue. I loved FFT, Xenogears, FFVII-- I can go on and on.

No, it pretends to be an RPG when it's really a heavy dialogue puzzle game that forces you to figure out how to get through every encounter without fighting, or else you played the game for nothing and "lose". The game even trolls you for playing until the end by creating the ugliest low budget final boss I've ever seen.

it is interesting, but after you've been through a few encounters it just becomes a game of trial and error as you try to pick the dialogue options that give you the outcome you want
