Just finished reading. The most ironic part is that at the time, everyone is reporting to Hastert about the pedo shyt. He appears conflicted or gets accused of lying a few times in the article too. Looking back, he was likely concerned about all the shyt he had going on involving his own pedophilia.

Overall, the story if very symbolic of a lot of the higher ups when it comes to the Republican party imo. He was willing to throw away his moral compass, and who he was as a person in the pursuit of power and (in the long run) ends up with neither.
