Back in the late 90's, early 2000's…that was the quick way to get noticed, it was a still a shocking turn of events for someone to 'diss' a rapper, esp. one of stature or fame….so you would see all these Source/XXL write-ups about these C list rappers and who they were dissing, and then Napster/Limewire would be flooded with these tracks like Mysonne 'fukk You' (Dissing Jay-Z, Nas, Lil' Kim) or some shyt like that. I remember this Big Sty, there were a few and all of them went in and out….50 Cent was maybe the originator, and he started the same way…but followed up with consistent music and the shooting.
