This has got to be one of the worst rules with most employers. My current job has a clean shaven policy but i dont follow that shyt.

But i worry once i get out of school and into corporate america this will hinder me from moving up. And my skin doesnt take well to shaving, be having my shyt looking like a nestle crunch bar.

Get a doctor's note (Pseudofolliculitis barbae bka razor bumps is a medical condition) or...quit.

If u have a bum beard, its not a good look. If u have a trimmed, looked after beard, they will probably allow that.

What employers in those kinds of places don't like is people that come in with a half ass beard cause they are too lazy to shave everyday or having a long bum ass beard. If u don't have either of those, u should be good.

maybe he works in a restaurant.
who would want beard hairs in their food. :whoa:

I worked in a kitchen, didn't need to be clean shaven. I understand if you had the likes of Al Borland or ZZ top serving you but someone with a :dwillhuh: type should be good. Plus I've seen muslim cats in many different spots rockin a beard net. So if they make hairnets specifically for beards, there shouldn't be a rule on being clean shaven.

Wasn't a cook, I was a runner. When they hired a one of the new chefs, they told him he had to cut his goatee to be an inch or under. And that was all he had to do.

I've heard of this, it's pretty common.

No policy here, I keep stubble about 90% of the time. I cannot stand shaving.
