Maybe those would work but I'm sure they only even have them in japan because they are super extremely low on space
Well the Japanese housing model aesthetic usually focus on giving you the bare necessities in a small, efficient package and the common majority of folk that use 'em, all they need is a place to put their head for a few hours, shower and be out again. If Motels and Flophouses weren't generally deplorable forms of cheap lodging, they'd be the best alternative to the capsule hotels I'm talking about.....but by CHRIST Motels and Flophouses are for the most part horrid.
I've lucked out on a few motels and the next time I need cheap lodging abroad I might actually try the AirBnB bullshyt since, from what I've seen, you can cop some decent accommodations that should put you miles above what you'd get at a flophouse, while having pretty much the same level of service (Bed/Bathroom) with a reduced risk of dealing with unsavories. The Japanese Capsule hotel shyt would pop off down here though, but I've a feeling it's success will be tied down to the quirk of what it actually is and people wanting to experience it, if only for a laugh as opposed to quick convenience. And Hipsters.
