I'll be on voluntary leave from my current teaching job, this upcoming school year. I've been a certified school teacher for nine years, in different types of schools (an inner-city alternative high school, an inner-city charter school, and a suburban middle school). I used to hear teachers say that they advised their children to NOT get into the education field, and I thought they were being extra. However, now I see exactly what they meant. I would advise against it as well. I just woke up from a nap, so my brain is still too scrambled to explain all the reasons, but I got you later.
