Never tracked it before.
HRV, Heart Rate Variability, is the time between heartbeats.
But the whole thing about HRV is fascinating.
It acts like a snapshot of how much “capacity” your body has available right now.
HRV is your nervous system manifested in your heart.
If you are busy with a whole buncha stuff it leaves less resources for other stuff.
So it's interesting to track.

When HRV is high versus your baseline, it can mean fewer systems are demanding extra support. More room to adapt, train, focus, and recover. When HRV is low, it often means something is tying up capacity, like illness, poor sleep, dehydration, heat, hard training, stress, or even digestion.

The key is that “low” is not always bad. Sometimes it’s just your body spending resources where they are needed. The real signal is the pattern over time and what changed in your day that could explain it.
