When I win I bring we with me
:patrice:

I ain't reading the op just in case their spoilers. I tried two episodes and haven't watched it since. It wasn't bad just didn't pull me in.

The kid’s horrible acting led me to not finish the season pass episode 1

That's exactly why I spoke to that fact in the OP :francis::ufdup:

If you watch it start on episode 3 or episode 2 at the 25:20 minute mark.:jbhmm:
Most everything before episode 2 and 25:20 min is pure frustration. I'd say finish the show then watch the fist two episodes as a prequel or something. Hell the actual story doesn't even really kick into strong forward motion till around episode 4 or 5. Most everything before that is just defining who the players on the board are.

There is potential here in the larger concept and story arc but they must get rid of whoever wrote the script that expresses that story arc.

The Truth
I finished it. It was ok, I liked it.
Basically this

it started off cheesy but got better towards the end. The kid was annoying but every kid is annoying on tv these days. It wasn’t bad for what it was. MBJ being in it more would’ve helped.

mom was bad too but she can’t dance for shyt tho

Watched in about 4 days because of my son kept wanting to watch it turned out pretty good... But what's the interracial aspect when the guy turns out to be a fukking incel that she wasn't messing with in the first place... She started feeling the bruh at the dance class and it was a wrap for the white boy

While I wanted to support this show I just got tired of all the obvious liberal box checking. :comeon:
  • interracial angle - check
  • gays & lesbians - check
  • disabled character - check
  • "strong" single female - check
  • etc etc
1. People infusing their politics when I don't give a shyt about those politics.
(The tricky part is that I agree "fiction" should depict what you wish the world to be, put under some stressor. I.E. the fiction should put your ideal world to a given test in order to explore how it holds up. But If I don't care for your ideal world I don't care for any exploration of it either.)

That's too much of media nowadays.

Nowadays, you don't need to have talent. Just check some "diversity" checkbox and you're in.

I'm reading reviews of Harriet and a black female director, with the "supervision" of a white female historian really thinks it's approriate to make the main anatagonist a "scary, big black man" and weave in some "white savior" bullshyt from the white male slave master.

It shows zero craft and has a transparent "agenda."

But, if you speak against it, you're just a -ist and subscribe to an -ism or -phobia.

White people really have us subscribing to there pre-1970's, psedu-science bullshyt by trying to explain away ever objection as some mental illness.

I'm done...
