I know some value their street rep/name ringing bells over everything but one should remember that the reason why they're in this game in the first place is/was to make money, anything less than that is just wasted time or worse depending on the outcome (going to jail, getting shot and killed, homeless, etc).

Wrote a long ass post the other day, but the amount of people I saw fell off, is terrifying, my close close homies, who lost it all, sometimes even their lives, that's not even including just people I knew or met for periods of time.
Like the guys I looked up to, I wanted to be like! Wanted to work for! Used to tell one of my homies 10 years ago, let me be your right hand man, I'll handle all the logistics, all the calls, all the leg work, everything, just pay me a percentage. Dude had to be clearing like at least 25k a month. Probably 50 sometimes. I was like 26 at the time, and thought he walked on water.

It’s crazy because just today while I was at the light, I seen a old nikka in the streets taking orders from a fukking teenage early 20 year old nikka…
All I thought about was that old nikka was one time running in the streets probably had a few bucks , a car fukking bytches but as usual didn’t have no long term insight to get out the streets and just become a normal 9-5 nikka

hey but that's how the game goes. The ones you looked up to become smokers and junkies and has beens, talking about the good days. Of course they were balling, 20 years ago. Still telling the same stories.
Spent 18 months in a halfway house when I was 20. Heard enough stories to last a lifetime.

Not that wisely or creatively, but yeah, he did. You start burning through assets when your money gets low, investments/jewelry/boats/cars are the first to go. He pulled like 20k out at some point, but that lasted him about 6 weeks. You owe 5k here, 10k here. Also, lifestyle adjustment, most of these guys I'm describing, that I grew up around, or with, and still be around, still TRY to live the same lifestyle, bar every night, club, they spend every single dollar they get. Run through 1k in a night, with no income.
when you have that hustle mindset, you always feel like fukk it, I'll make this back tomorrow, and that can be a hard habit to break when you can't go get it back anymore.
