Anyway to watch today's NFL games through the IPhone?

No idea.

But I wound up getting NFL Sunday Ticket today.
I don't have DirecTV but apparently you can get the football package if you live in an area where DirecTV isn't available (usually apartment buildings and things like that).

$50 a month for 4 months. Or you could pay the $200 up front.
You gotta make sure you cancel at the end of the season or they'll automatically bill you again when the 2017 season starts.

Side note:

Your cable provider might have an app that lets you watch tv on your phone or tablet. In New York I have Optimum and their Optimum app lets you watch live TV. So you could try and get a game that way...

I got optimum also but they won't let me view cbs

That's crazy.

CBS, Fox and NBC are basic broadcast channels. Even if you didn't have cable, you could still get them.
Maybe check if CBS has a phone app that lets you stream.
