Apartment hunting in NYC

Brehs, I know I can find an apartment in Queens with patience but the truth is I don't want to be bothered with this shyt.

I'm thinking about gettin a broker/agent. Someone to search for me. How much do they usually charge?

Yeah, just asked a coworker in the office to confirm and she's saying around her in Hoboken it's about a month's rent...and I can't imagine NYC would be any less.

you can actually search "no fee" apartments on most the RE sites. a lot of the management companies handle their own rentals so you don't need a broker, but they will all likely require decent security deposits.

A few months ago I ordered some shirts off Ralph Lauren's website...and instead of shipping them back (I didn't want them), I walked up Madison Ave to their Flagship store after work.

The cost of living in that area has to be insane.

Quick question, can these people find an apartment for you even if you have a felony? That shyts annoying because most rental agencies automatically deny you. Any info on this? I would drop a months rent if they could find me one.
