So my lease comes to a end in a couple of days and I want to know if I would get back my security deposit in cash if I paid with a check almost one year ago?

Providing your pad is clean, empty and nothing is broken you will get your security deposit back in a check though.

It's not going to be the same check you would have given them. It would be a check cut from whatever account the apartment holds, probably separate for just security deposits. I'm pretty sure they cashed that deposit check you gave them a year ago.

Just got off the phone with em apparently they said it's 45 days after move out. So I should get it this week.
