Apple experts i got a annoying issue .

Thanks to @backbreaker65 http://geekparty.com/ps4-pro-tip-using-your-ipod-with-the-ps4s-usb-music-player/

i pulled out my old ipod classic 80gb and hook it up to my ps4.

Now my problem is my pc crashed a long time ago and i lost everything but ty apple for saving my music .

I was able to go into the root folder and get all my albums back but there is a problem. Its written in some mumbo jumbo code.

All the album folders are labeled something like " F00" then the songs are "ABCDEF1234"

When i hook it up to itunes the songs pop up matter fact when i hook it up to my ps4 the right album and names pop up ONLY when playing .

Is there a way to fix this because its gonna be hell tryna find my music on the ps4,

The only way i know what songs are playing is by hearing it or looking at my tv and seeing whats playing .

The albums and songs are labeled the same way on the ps4 if nothing is playing .

Thanks for any help brehs

Thats how Apple made the iPod to sort the file system. Sooooo you have to get a computer and copy all that shyt over and rename everything basically.

Edit

Use Music Unlimited, has pretty much everything on there and its free if you know what youre doing :krs:

i haven't done it in a while so i don't know but you can google it...or try something like this
http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-transfer-music-from-an-ipod-to-your-computer/

OK I've done that but the files on my ipod still read in mumbo jumbo.

That's how I got my music back is going through the root folder.

I was tryna see if there was some way I could change the tags. Because they only show up on my iTunes or when actually playing on ps4.

Wait, you have to create a folder in the root folder and transfer music that way? The PS4 cannot read the iPod Classic without doing that? Could the PS3 read it without doing that? That's strange. I've never attempted to hook up my iPod to it but I'm assuming it should work straight out the box right?

No it can't you have to make a MUSIC folder along side your other root folders.

Then transfer your albums inside that folder.

Breh that took 3 mins for me it's not a big deal at all.

Warning if you have another music folder where your root folders are you gotta change the name or just move it after transferring.

I just moved all my shyt to the new music folder then tucked the old music folder inside another folder.
