Applying through online systems....whats the process like?

My networking has got me into a solid relationships with a couple bankers including one at Canada's best bank who is a big football fan and one of the coolest professionals I know.

Just so happens his favourite team got murked last wknd and I saw a posting for the company this morning that I'm interested in. I email duke to send my condolences for the Saints L...and make an inquiry about the posting. He speaks to the head of the group in that division for me and puts in a good word but I still gotta apply through the online system because HR is filtering. I've got interviews through them before (sparingly) but I wonder what its like when it goes through. How important are them key phrases lol?

I've done it before. It's gotten me interviews so I can't complain. My only concern is how often those are checked compared to the capacity of e-mails they get in a certain period of time.
I do have to thank indeed for my new job though!

Hopefully second dude relays my name through HR and theres not an initial filter based on the key words and stuff in the resume. Time will tell i guess. No use worrying
