I don't think it necessarily made him look bad, because to me personally, they were about even up until that Dollaz N Sense track. That shyt was brutal. My favorite diss out fo their whole flare up was Def Wish 2 though. Music 2 Driveby is my personal Illmatic. You got out line you got whacked, everybody knew the rules. Back then too, considering we knew plenty of rappers were frontin, I always felt like Eiht came off realler than Quik. Like if the two really squared off, Eiht would have got em. But I'm glad they made peace. REally in hindsight, I'm surprised nobody got physically bodied over their beef considering they had some serious affilliations, during the 90's at that!!!

They wasn't on some claiming Tree Top or Tragnieu because it was a fad like these blood nikkaz nowadays. Matter fact all the West Coast rappers back then who were affiliated didn't really advertise that shyt like rappers do today. It was more respectable back then like they had respect for bangin or something. I believe Eiht tossed a shot at Quick and Eazy on Another Victim too.

Eiht did always come off harder in his rhymes strictly based off delivery and I listened to him more than Quik back in the day...but Quik truly is about that life and seems to have more stripes from what I've heard.

And Endiph is right. It was rare for them in the early 90s to fully flaunt their affiliation in their lyrics. In the videos, defiantly because that is how they dressed, but theres few and far between of lines referencing directly. It's not like Lil Wayne who will put out 10 different songs through the course of the year directly referencing the bloods.
