After a fast food restaurant manager had an altercation with a man who threatened her and spit on her, police say she followed him and fired a shot into his vehicle that later killed him.
Deionna Young, 25, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Monday in the shooting death of Desean Tallent, 25, in east Tulsa on Saturday evening.
Police allege Tallent and Young got into an altercation at the Arby's at 41st Street and Garnett Road on Saturday evening about an hour before the shooting, according to a news release. Young was reportedly the manager at the Arby's, where Tallent threatened and assaulted her by spitting on her.
About an hour after the initial altercation, Tallent returned to the location. Police said Young got in her car and followed Tallent out of the parking lot north on Garnett Road from the store. Young reportedly fired one shot with a .45-caliber handgun, for which she did not have a license, at Tallent's SUV and returned to work.
Tallent drove the SUV north to Walmart where he crashed into one of the entrances after having suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He later died at the hospital.
