It's insane to me that this body of music was created for a game. This is arguably in the top 3 game OSTs I've ever heard and idk what else I can compare it to. It just hit on all levels. Hearing some of these tracks as you first play the game is .

lol this is somewhat related... some dude got all the midi transcriptions of this album and fed them through a donkey kong country 2 soundfont. so basically it uses sounds from the game to recreate the music

its great lol



a few channels on youtube do this with all sorts of music and games. its a cool novelty genre
