The Archie Universe has lost one of its greats, according to publisher Archie Comics. For over sixty years, Victor Gorelick helped shape and create the world of Archie, Riverdale and beyond. Born in 1941, Victor started his career at Archie Comics fresh out of high school in the art department, where he learned how to color and ink — one of the most important parts of creating a comic. During his tenure at the company, he worked his way up to Editor-in-Chief, and helped make Archie a household name.

RIP, Archie comics shaped mine and so many of our childhoods.

I wonder if he was around for the non-harlem directions they took Archie in after they started running out of scenarios and chaste situations for 'em to exploit.

Still got tons of those little Reader's Digest shaped Archie comics tucked away in a drawer or toilet cupboard somewhere. Rest in peace to that man.:wow:
