Owned one pair of Jordans back in the fukking HEYDAY of the early 90s. They were weak, but I got caught in the hype. The goal now is to build a dynasty for me, and for my future children, a legacy. Past few generations dropped the ball and now everything is fukked up, so I gotta do my part to right my ship. Lord willin'.

Jordan and Lebron black.... Just buy more black designer stuff. I still wear street wear, so it is easy to buy stuff owned or designed by people of color.

I was more into Tommy, Nautica, Polo in the 90s.... been off that for a long time.

On IG you can find many start up companies with decent everyday clothing screen-printed, custom tailored even... run by young black men.

Flossin is a big problem in black communities everywhere I have noticed even the blacks in Europe are on that designer clothes flossing shyt but you look at the overall the economy and ownership of businesses (zilch). I think it's a mentality shift and definetely some type insecurity. I remember reading this article on Zuckeberg a few days back and they asked him why he always wore the same shirt or hoodie his basic response was "I want to clear my life so that I have few decisions as possible about anything except on how to best serve the community". It's pretty sad when people who question the unnecessary consumerism are called "militants" what the fukk is militant about economic empowerment and coming up with practical solutions on how to best improve your community's ecanomic position in the world

I don't wear jays or gucci.

People who floss do it because thats just how their brains works. Poverty also plays a roll, but overall that really is just them. Its not just a black thing at all. I know people of all races who whole life revolves around brand names. Especially asians.

Hard truth is some people care more about looking rich then they do about actually becoming wealthy. They don't really want the skills and experience that come along with the hustle. They're not in it for reals. They're in it to splurge and be seen. They have a rappers mentality and they'll always be that way. Some people are just so shallow minded they can't really see the levels.

I think with a lot of black folk it stems from a position of social insecurity, like we think we can't be taken seriously unless we dress fancy/got that luxury car etc.
