With all of the depression threads that I see on the Coli...I beg to differ.

You'll see depression threads on any social forum like this. We see each other as extended friends and family and share our fears, goals and realities.

Doesn't mean black men in general are losing hope. I'd argue black men are waking up and are hungrier to go get it than at any other point in our life time.

i think alot of people go through depression... its just now its more common for it to be talked about publicly... and its oft-putting to say the least...

The system is set up for blacks to fail no question.... but that period between 18-28 is the hardest period for any person... because you are expected to be an adult yet most still have the coping skills of a child.

Just because you are optimistic, doesn't mean there aren't nikkas out here who feel lost. Depression is a big problem in the black community that gets swept under the rug. I feel what you are saying though.

I think we live in a bubble in these forums, I know many people who suffer from depression or other ailment who will use online forums when they're feeling antisocial. For example I have MS and I go to the coli or other message boards when my symptoms worsen. I'm sure many use these forums when they have anxiety or depression and can't handle face to face interactions yet still want to maintain atleast a faux social life on the web.

The quantity of Coli depression threads ain't got chit on the misc...and that's mostly cacs.
That explains it.

Black people as a whole are losing hope though.

Hopefully a spark comes to get our people back on track as a whole.

THREE-OH-FIVE TILL I DIE
I can't get into buddy's mind state.
But, I feel it's not that bad.

If he was my friend, he would be put into the "Hard Luck Friends" category.
Like he would be the last person to discuss your issues with because he'd outdo your problems with his shyt he's dealing with.

The moment he get him some p*ssy, life's gonna be roses.

And if all else fails, he should learn Portuguese and move to Brazil.
