You'll see depression threads on any social forum like this. We see each other as extended friends and family and share our fears, goals and realities.
Doesn't mean black men in general are losing hope. I'd argue black men are waking up and are hungrier to go get it than at any other point in our life time.
I think we live in a bubble in these forums, I know many people who suffer from depression or other ailment who will use online forums when they're feeling antisocial. For example I have MS and I go to the coli or other message boards when my symptoms worsen. I'm sure many use these forums when they have anxiety or depression and can't handle face to face interactions yet still want to maintain atleast a faux social life on the web.You'll see depression threads on any social forum like this.
