been seeing it a lot lately down here. couple of kids been arrested this past week or so. every other day someone is posting on the ring or nextdoor forums about one or multiple people walking around checking car doors. my community gated so hard to get in unless on foot and they usually have a car if they need to get away quick, but the communities that are open are easy pickings for them. i'm guessing other cities in the area are getting hit hard too, but i haven't heard much news on it.
