I grew up an hour south of DC, in the sticks of VA.

since DC was the closest big city, within radio signal of WKYS, WPGC., we jocked all of DC's culture....gogo, clothing brands(hobo, ddtp, vonteff, madness, etc), the lingo

but we still would be seen as a bama to anybody in DC

ddtp and madness...you brought it back to the good ol days

One thing I've realized is that younger generation DC nikkas(under 25) don't really throw bama around as much.
To the people who never lived or been anywhere in the DMV, don't be shocked at the amount of trues, balmains, foams, northface and hellys you'll see.

If you don't know what any of those are...then you're probably a bama.
besides HH nothing here is unique. foams are obviously birthed in DC but nobody outside the area knows that. internet has created monoculture among american youth, a kid from DC looks like a kid from ATL who looks like a kid from sioux city, iowa
